What material is HPM75 non-magnetic steel
With the development of industry, the application of non-magnetic steel is more and more extensive. Non-magnetic steel also plays a large role in various fields of application. Just when we were making the semiconductor IC sealing plastic mold, we encountered the problem of material selection, and finally chose HPM75 in the non-magnetic steel material after several twists and turns. So what kind of material is HPM75?
HPM75 is an atypical plastic die steel with weak magnetism, high hardness and easy cutting. In HPM series steels, it is also a high strength austenitic type non-magnetic die steel, which can maintain stable austenite in various states and has very low permeability.
HPM75 non-magnetic steel is also suitable for high corrosion and wear resistance requirements of die products. If the gas nitrogen carburizing heat treatment is used, the surface hardness and wear resistance can be further improved, so as to improve the service life of the die.
However, HPM75 non-magnetic steel is prone to work hardening, so low speed machining is recommended.
